BIO – Linked by their special passion for  Viennese classical music and their keen interest in contemporary music, Clara Frühstück, Maria Sawerthal and Sophie Abraham founded the Trio Frühstück in 2010. The ensemble initially studied with Claus-Christian Schuster (Altenberg Trio Vienna) at Vienna Conservatoire/Private University and then received further musical inspiration from Henri Sigfridsson (Berlin), Chia Chou (Graz), Reinhard Latzko and Christian Altenburger (Vienna). Currently, the trio is being supervised by Johannes Meissl and Teresa Leopold at the University of Music in Vienna.  The Trio Frühstück holds concerts in Austria and abroad and, among other things, performed Iván Eröd’s Piano Trio No. 1 on his 75 th  birthday in Budapest in 2011. The same year, the trio was awarded a special prize at the International Brahms Competition in 2011.  In the 2012/13 season, the trio performed for the first time in the Teatru Manoel in Valetta (Malta) as well as in the Suntory Hall in Tokyo and reached the semi-final of the Concorso Internazionale ‘Premio Trio di Trieste’. Future projects encompass concerts under the aegis of NASOM, the music sponsoring programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, and for Jeunesse.
